CLEAR LAKE CHRISTIAN CO-OP

Who Are We

We are a parent-run homeschool co-op that began in Fall 2019. We are currently suited to meet the needs of preschool age; however, we are able to accommodate siblings of involved families. As we grow, we hope to have enough families invested to include activities for all ages.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that: the Bible is the complete and infallible Word of God; God exists in three Persons, the Father, the Son - Jesus, & the Holy Spirit; we all fall short of God's holiness and have a need for a Savior; our penalty for sin was fulfilled through Jesus' virgin birth, sinless life, death, & resurrection; & our responsibility as believers is to exemplify God's love through unified actions fueled by the Holy Spirit.
At Clear Lake Christian Co-op, we understand that we may not all agree completely on every doctrine and will leave those discussions for home. Our purpose is simply to foster an environment for friendships through fun, field trips, & hands on learning experiences.

OUR STRUCTURE

Each semester, parents will determine the best day and specific hours that best work for them. As dates and times are agreed upon, schedules will be posted.

We will be meeting at Clear Lake Baptist Church in Lakeport who has agreed to allow us to use their Children's Ministry Center as well as the gym as needed for physical activities. The Children's Ministry Center includes a large classroom, a bathroom, kitchenette, and 2 smaller classrooms. The two small classrooms can be used as a nursery for the younger ones and a study room for older children of families involved.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT

Parents will be present each week, but will be on a rotation of responsibilities. They will alternate on which activity each is responsible to lead. Parent lead activities: circle time, science experiment or craft, games/physical activity, & nursery for children too young for preschool.
Prior to each semester, parents will gather to discuss any goals/costs/concerns. They will then also establish a calendar of the rotating responsibilities. The calendar will also be available on the website.

MISSION STATEMENT

At Clear Lake Christian Co-op, we desire to to create an environment conducive for each kids' growth - socially, mentally, and physically. As our children are being taught by the people that love them the most, they will feel comfortable to explore their environment through fun activities, laughter, songs, games, and hands-on experiments and crafts. Through reinforcing Christian morals and character building, our children will feel they have a safe place to enjoy their friends and feel loved by the family connections that allow our co-op to run smoothly.
