CIRCLE TIME

At the beginning of each gathering, children start with circle time activities. This are parent-run and may include: a few action songs (CD or Parent), short story, weather talk, letter of the day, & any other literacy activity.

Each parent will have a different teaching style and may choose to emphasize one category over another. As parents alternate responsibilities from week to week, one parent may enjoy reinforcing literacy through a few short stories with lots of child involvement while another parent may enjoy a brief literacy game to instill the letter of the week. We believe that the varieties of personalities involved and unique teaching styles of each parent will help keep the interest of the children while also allowing parents to teach in a way that they are most passionate about.
